From Assessment to Operation: Aquality’s Workflow
Aquality's deployment process is engineered to move efficiently from initial technical evaluation to field operation, with each stage designed to minimize uncertainty, reduce site preparation burden, and ensure system performance is grounded in real operating conditions rather than generalized assumptions.
Discovery and Technical Scoping
The engagement begins with a structured technical conversation to establish the operational baseline: produced water volumes and composition, disposal cost drivers, available thermal or electrical energy sources, site footprint constraints, and timeline requirements. This discussion allows Aquality's team to make an early determination of technology fit, identify the most appropriate system configuration, and flag any site-specific considerations that will inform the assessment phase.
Site Assessment
Aquality conducts a detailed evaluation of water chemistry, ambient climate conditions, utility availability, and on-site logistics to quantify performance potential and identify design constraints. Inlet water TDS, temperature, and composition directly influence evaporation rate modeling; ambient temperature and relative humidity define the performance envelope. This data is fed directly into Aquality's validated CEE performance model to generate site-specific evaporation rate and energy consumption projections — ensuring system sizing, module placement, and energy inputs are calibrated to actual field conditions.
Custom System Configuration
Using site assessment outputs, Aquality's team designs a modular evaporation configuration sized to meet target throughput within available footprint and energy parameters. The system is configured to accommodate scaling — additional modules can be added as produced water volumes change or as operators expand the deployment — providing operational flexibility without requiring a full system redesign. Configuration deliverables include module count, array layout, power requirements, and projected performance curves across seasonal ambient conditions.
Deployment Preparation
Factory-built, skid-mounted modules are assembled and tested prior to shipment, arriving at the field site ready for installation with minimal additional site preparation required. Module dimensions are designed for transport on standard flatbed trucks, eliminating the need for specialized heavy-haul logistics. The centralized control system is pre-configured and commissioning-ready, reducing the time between arrival and first operation.
Field Activation and Ongoing Operations
Once installed, systems are activated with autonomous controls and real-time remote monitoring, continuously logging ambient and operating conditions to optimize performance against current field conditions. Evaporation begins immediately upon commissioning, reducing produced water volumes at the source with minimal on-site personnel requirements. Remote monitoring provides continuous operational visibility and supports proactive maintenance, keeping unplanned downtime below 0.5% based on Aquality's operating history.
