Smart Evaporation for Lower-Cost, Lower-Risk Produced Water Management.

About Us

Our Story

Founded on nearly a decade of engineering and field experience, Aquality Solutions set out to solve the growing challenge growing challenges of industrial wastewater and oilfield produced water management.  What began as a focused effort to improve evaporation has evolved into a proven, reliable system trusted across oilfield and industrial operations.

Real Results, Real Savings

By leveraging Aquality’s patented Convection-Enhanced Evaporation (CEE) technology, we empower customers to significantly decrease water volumes at the source, reducing the financial, environmental, and reputational burdens of traditional disposal methods.

Our evaporation systems are fully enclosed and specifically designed to eliminate overspray. And with a scalable modular architecture and compact footprint, Aquality Solutions delivers tailored solutions optimized to meet site-specific produced water management challenges of all sizes.

Modular and Ready

Modular and Ready

Aquality's factory-built, skid-mounted modules are designed for rapid field deployment and autonomous operation — continuously optimized by intelligent controls to minimize power consumption and in-person oversight. Modular architecture allows systems to scale to site-specific volume demands, while flexible power options — including electricity, solar, and waste heat — support low-cost, low-emission operation. The result is a fully contained, right-sized evaporation solution that meaningfully reduces water volumes at the source.

FAQ

What problem does Aquality solve?

Produced water disposal using saltwater disposal wells is becoming more costly, constrained, and scrutinized across unconventional oil and gas basins, while brine mining operations are limited by evaporation pond capacity and land availability. Aquality reduces water volumes at the source, cutting the operational and environmental burden of moving, injecting, or managing large fluid streams.

What is Convection-Enhanced Evaporation (CEE), and how is it different from spray evaporation?

CEE drives evaporation through vapor pressure differential by distributing water as thin films across stacked evaporation surfaces inside a fully enclosed modular system. The result is controlled, contained evaporation with no overspray, no drift, and none of the salt particulate dispersion associated with spray-based or open-system approaches.

How does CEE compare to thermal technologies like MVR or MEE?

Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and Multiple Effect Evaporation (MEE) operate at or above the boiling point of water and require high-grade heat, steam generation, and pressure-vessel infrastructure. CEE operates at sub-boiling temperatures on grid power, solar, or waste heat — delivering substantially lower energy demand with a far simpler and safer deployment footprint.

What water chemistries and industries can the system handle?

CEE is engineered for high-TDS, chemically complex streams, with all wetted components built from non-metallic, corrosion-resistant materials. Current applications span unconventional oilfield produced water, industrial process brines, and solar evaporation mining targeting lithium and potash extraction.

How do you predict performance and how validated is it?

Aquality’s CEE performance model, published in peer-reviewed literature, predicts evaporation rate and energy consumption across a full range of operating and ambient conditions, with model-to-actual agreement within 10% for the majority of field-operated cases.

What scale of deployment is practical, and what does the footprint look like?

Aquality's modular architecture scales from single module operation to large commercial systems comprised of hundreds of modules processing thousands of barrels per day. Modules ship on a standard flatbed for rapid field deployment, with operations commencing soon after the first modules arrive on site.

What does the commercial model look like — is capital required?

Aquality offers both direct purchase and a no-capex rental model, allowing operators to capture disposal cost reduction without upfront equipment expenditure. Both models include remote monitoring and maintenance support, with historical system uptime exceeding 99.5%

How do I know if evaporation is the right fit for my operation?

CEE performs competitively across a wide range of climatic conditions found throughout the continental US, with best performance in arid and semi-arid environments. Aquality offers a no-obligation technical assessment covering water chemistry, energy availability, and site conditions to determine fit and size a system for your specific operation.
